I think out of all our ports of call, I was most excited for Mexico. And it did not disappoint! The water was so blue!
Craig and I went off on our own, since most of our group went on a trip to the Mayan ruins. We went shopping in the morning, and then on a catamaran sail and snorkel excursion in the afternoon. Our tour guide was great The captain drove with his feet. I loved the laid-backness of the crew! Some random mansion. I think Cozumel is an up and coming tourist destination. There were lots of really nice resorts.
Our catamaran The private beach that we stopped at after snorkeling. It was a lot of fun, and both on the boat and on the beach we had open bar. The crew was very clear in reassuring us that the water and ice were very purified, and therefore safe to drink. After unsuccessfully trying to take a picture of ourselves, some nice lady offered to do it for us. Our beach, as seen from the water At the dock, we were parked next to a Carnival ship. I snapped this picture because I thought it nicely captured the sheer size of our ship.
Craig posed for a picture with this statue, which we quickly realized was not a statue!
Craig snapped this picture of Nicole and Mark returning from their trip to the Tulum ruins. Towel monkey!
