Things in general have been pretty good for the last month or so. I've been pretty busy subbing. In fact, I only ended up with 2 days this month where I didn't work. So hopefully this will continue. And with a little bit of luck, some long-term subbing will come up. We'll see what happens, though it's hard to think about much else right now than the trip.
There's one other thing that I have to share, though I'm probably the only person who thinks this is cool. But I'm a math teacher and a geek. Yesterday Craig and I were testing Griffin with all this math stuff. He absolutely loves math and is doing it at a level that is higher than many junior high students. We were seeing if he could solve different sequential patterns, and I tested him with Fibonacci's sequence. And he solved it in about 10 seconds. For those of you that don't know what Fibonacci's sequence is, I'm too lazy to explain it right now, but I didn't even hear about it until university. And I definitely didn't figure out the pattern right away. Griffin is 7! I think we have a bidding genius on our hands! *end of geekified moment*
Finally, below is a picture from our cruise last year. We had just pulled away from the port, and I snapped this picture of the other ship that was there. The ship we are going on this time is identical to the ship in the picture. Hopefully Miami is a little sunnier when we leave this time around. It looks so depressing in this picture!
